Cleansing and Hemorrhoids
One way to use Balneol® lotion is to cleanse the perianal area before applying a medicated hemorrhoid ointment or treatment.
Help for hemorrhoids and wiping.
Wiping can be a nightmare when you have a case of hemorrhoids. If you've had hemorrhoids, then you know what dry, scratchy toilet paper can be like. That’s where a silky cleansing lotion like Balneol can help!
Excessive rubbing to clean the affected area can make hemorrhoids more painful and cause bleeding, which is why many people turn to Balneol for a gentle cleansing solution to wiping with hemorrhoids.
Cleansing the perianal area is important when dealing with painful and sensitive hemorrhoids, but you don't have to take a sitz bath or jump in the shower to clean off! Simply squeeze a bit of Balneol lotion onto toilet paper and wipe. No water and no rinsing necessary. Balneol does not sting or thin the skin, and many people use it to clean fecal matter away before applying their favorite medicated hemorrhoid treatment. Keep in mind that Balneol is for external use only.
What are hemorrhoids?
Hemorrhoids are swollen and inflamed veins that can be either inside the anus (internal) or under the skin around the anus (external). Hemorrhoids and anal fissures (small tears in the tissue near the anus) often develop due to continued irritation caused by diarrhea or straining due to constipation.
